As I prepare today I find comfort in these words of inspiration by John Lennon —
“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create.
Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life”
Today, I embrace the unknown and and am open to adventure, learning, healing and the inevitable juxtapositions that will push my intellect, my faith, my being and spirit. These pages will fill with image, sights, sounds and words over the next four weeks as I journey to new diverse landscapes from the global and cultural to the linguistic, artistic, and spiritual.
The adventure begins today, next week I will be heading to LAX where I will embark on a 16 hour trip non stop to Saudi Arabia (I’ll post the globe soon). In the meantime, here is a sample of Classical Indian Music from southern India. Ramnad Krishnan Kaccheri A Concert of South Indian Classical Music
